The law impacts practically every interaction that anyone can have, whether it is in business or social, just watching the news, driving down the street, going to work or having a sip of alcohol. And yet, it is amazing how few people have any actual understanding of the laws of our country. Most people have never read the Constitution or a single court case or statute, and education comes in many ways by rumor and news stories.
This group will offer non-lawyers an opportunity to learn about the law. We will talk about different "kinds" of laws and the kinds of impact that they have on each of our every day lives. HOWEVER, this is not about personal legal advice. We'll talk about the US Constitution, contract law, tort law and whatever else we want to and I'm sure that we will each find something of great value in the way each of us is able to see the world.
I look forward to offering an informal education in whatever way makes the most sense for the group. For me, this is a bit of a pilot class for this complex subject that I believe could be shared in an interesting, educational and fun way.
This group doesn't have any additional upcoming Meetups scheduled.
