"Help the Human Race" Happy Hour Event at Omega Lounge
In an effort to support cancer research and honor both of her grandmothers who lost courageous battles with cancer, “re-patriot” Carolyn Human has been preparing to run the Disney Half Marathon with Roswell Park’s Cure challenge team for months. In addition to vigorous weekly training sessions, she also recently paired up with Buffalo’s newest upscale bar, Omega Lounge, DJ Rob Decker, and CityLove Clothing, to design an event to help her raise money for the race in support of Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
On Thursday, December 4th, Buffalo’s newest upscale bar Omega Lounge will host “Help the Human Race Happy Hour” from 5PM-8PM. Located at 42 W. Chippewa St. in the heart of downtown Buffalo, the upscale venue, aimed at the city’s young professionals, will feature food, drink specials, and a three hour set by DJ Rob Decker. Attendees can also buy CityLove clothing, with a portion of the proceeds going to Roswell Park.
“Since our start in 2007, CityLove has been blessed by the support of our "good neighbors" and as a result, we look forward to giving back through local fundraisers and events. Roswell Park is very important to WNY and even more important to the individuals and families it serves everyday. We are very happy to be supporting their mission,” said Tony Maggiotto, owner and creative director of CityLove Clothing.
“It seemed like a no-brainer to get up and coming local businesses involved in helping raise money for a worthwhile cause. My hope is that we raise a lot of money for cancer research and drive customers to the local businesses,” said Human.
Tickets for the event are $20 and can be purchased online at www.carolynhuman.com or at CityLove Clothing located at 830 Elmwood Avenue. The money raised for the marathon will help fund research and patient care at one of the nation’s top comprehensive cancer treatment centers located right here in Buffalo.
Hope to see you there!!
