I am a Chinese working in IT in the Washington DC area. There are so few of us out there. Most of the time, I am surrounded by people of other ethnic groups on the job. I just thought it would be great to start a meet up group and see if anyone else in the same situation would like to get together to share advice about work and career development as a Chinese person.

In the area their are many youth sports organizations with a lot of knowledge and open to help each other with their experiences in local and traveling (i.e. discounts, which charter companies are reliable, best hotel deals). Just trying to start a group that would be designated to help each other keep our youth organizations running with support and with possibility of savings.
